Distinguished professors Marcia Chatelain (University of Pennsylvania), Deborah Kang (University of Virginia), and Jonathan Zimmerman (University of Pennsylvania) will headline our program. We will feature digital historical resources from the Library of Congress, PBS, Emerging America, and National History Day with presentations by our historical partners. Finally, NEH Summer Institute participants will present the lessons and classroom resources they created in "Rethinking the Gilded Age and Progressivisms: Race, Capitalism, and Democracy, 1877 to 1920." Every participant will leave with new knowledge and classroom-ready resources. Illinois teachers will earn ISBE professional development credit hours.
